STILL LIFE ART COLLECTIONS

My still life work is a vibrant exploration of themes of femininity and strength. By elevating mundane items perceived as feminine - vases, flowers, house plants, produce - I strive to transform ordinary objects of domesticity into something extraordinary, challenging traditional domestic narratives. Inspired by the literary metaphor of vases as keepers of the past, present, and future, my vessels encapsulate all of human history as well as the promise of all that has yet to come. As such, my collection, ‘Vessels’, celebrates femininity as a powerful, ever-evolving force. Acrylic paint is central to my work, but my self-taught, exploratory technique combines paint, ink, graphite, grease pencil, pastels, and sometimes collage, creating contemporary still life paintings that encourage viewers to see these objects in a new way.
